We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our team and lead the development of impactful, innovative products.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Technical Manager, you will play a key leadership role by guiding a talented team of backend and frontend engineers. You'll collaborate closely with the Founder, Business Analysts, and Designers to build powerful solutions that drive success for both client and internal projects.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Team Leadership

  • Oversee the work of backend and frontend engineers across client and internal projects
  • Lead sprint planning, allocate workloads, and make key architectural decisions
  • Enforce high engineering standards and maintain code review protocols
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous technical growth

Technical Execution & Decision-Making

  • Take ownership of project quality and ensure successful, on-time delivery
  • Work with the Founder and Business Analysts to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Troubleshoot roadblocks and monitor team productivity
  • Improve estimation accuracy and overall project efficiency

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the bridge between the Founder, Development Team, and Clients
  • Support the technical onboarding of new engineers and team members
  • Contribute to technical proposals and client-facing discussions as needed

Engineering Best Practices

  • Define and implement coding standards, Git workflows, and documentation protocols
  • Lead testing, deployment, and release workflows, including CI/CD processes
  • Establish strong version control and post-launch QA protocols
  • Develop reusable architecture patterns and internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the IT or relevant sector
  • Strong backend skills in Node.js or a similar framework
  • Proven experience managing a team of engineers directly
  • Experience in team leadership, mentorship, or technical planning
  • Ability to lead sprints, conduct code reviews, and design scalable systems
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and the discipline for remote work

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, GCP, BigQuery, and eCommerce in general
  • Experience with frontend technologies like React and Tailwind
  • Background in startups or agency environments, managing multiple projects
  • Client-facing experience or involvement in pre-sales technical discussions
